He was appointed as chairman of Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors by the president of U.S.A named Ronald Reagan as the successor of Paul Volcker by Senate. The Federal Reserve was left by him in 2006. He became popular for stewarding the dot com explosion of the Internet and because of the criticism he did about the monetary policies of the U.S government. He has got the Presidential Medal in 2005. He was born in 1926 and grew up to attain MA in economics.
